Mr. Hugh Heinrichsen is the Elementary Music Teacher at Fir Grove and Melrose Schools in Roseburg, Oregon. He first taught music in 1998 before becoming a pastor. He has spent the past 20 years serving churches in Chicago, Illinois and Douglas County, Oregon.
Mr. Heinrichsen loves musical theater and begin performing in 1988 when he played The Cowardly Lion during a summer youth performance of “The Wizard of Oz”. Since then he has enjoyed bringing many roles to life including: Cogsworth in “Beauty and the Beast”, Captain Hook in “Peter Pan,” Mr. Bumble in “Oliver,” The Baker in “Into the Woods,” Shrek in “Shrek the Musical,” and The Beast in “Beauty and the Beast.”
